Summary
ListedOS can replace both Stan Store and ManyChat for the specific strategy in the article titled “Using Instagram to Grow Your Real Estate Business with Listed”
The relationships explained:
Instagram creates attention → ListedOS captures and automates the relationship → Listed delivers the collaborative real estate search experience.
ListedOS handles:
- Instagram comment to DM automation
- Keyword recognition
- Public comment replies
- Interactive Instagram DMs
- Buttons and quick replies
- Landing pages and link in bio pages
- Email and phone capture
- CRM contact creation
- SMS, email and WhatsApp delivery
- Agent notifications and follow-up tasks
- Click tracking
- Pipeline and tag management
ListedOS can even automatically adds the person to your Listed app, however, we recommend following up with a personal direct Listed invitation → Me → Clients → add clients → and tap ‘invite’.
1. What Stan Store and ManyChat are doing
The Stan Store workflow
Stan now combines two separate functions:
- Stan AutoDM
- The agent chooses one or more keywords.
- The follower comments or DMs the keyword.
- Stan sends a custom Instagram DM.
- The DM can link to a Stan product, private landing page or external URL.
- The automation can apply to selected posts or all posts.
- Stan can optionally post a public reply to the comment.
- Stan lead capture page
- The follower opens a landing page.
- Name and email are required by Stan.
- Phone and other fields can be added.
- After submission, Stan can redirect the person to another URL or send a confirmation email containing the offer.
Stan’s official documentation says its AutoDM does not currently support multi-step question flows, quizzes or sophisticated conversational sequences.
The ManyChat workflow
ManyChat normally handles the conversation portion:
- Someone comments “HOMES.”
- ManyChat sends an opening Instagram DM.
- The follower taps a button or quick reply.
- That interaction opts them into the conversation and opens Instagram’s 24-hour messaging window.
- ManyChat sends the link or asks additional questions.
- A Data Collection block can ask for and store their email address or phone number.
ManyChat specifically notes that a simple Open Website button does not create the same messaging opt-in. Using a button or quick reply that causes an interaction allows the automation to continue. Its Data Collection block can validate and save email addresses, phone numbers and other answers.
2. The ListedOS alternative workflow
Here is the complete workflow I recommend:
Instagram post → keyword comment → public reply → Instagram DM → follower confirms interest → open Listed link or complete ListedOS form → contact enters CRM → agent invites them to Listed → curated list is delivered → agent follows up personally
There should be two versions.
Workflow A: Immediate access list
Use this for publicly available curated lists where the follower can register through the agent’s Listed referral link.
Workflow B: Private or high value list
Use this for:
- Brokerage exclusives
- Coming soon properties
- Off market opportunities
- Sold property collections
- Highly curated niche lists
- Niche area or neighbourhood insights
This version collects the person’s email and phone number before the agent invites them into Listed.
3. Initial Instagram setup in ListedOS
For Listed’s comment automation, the agent’s Instagram account should be connected through the Facebook and Instagram integration.
Inside ListedOS
- Go to Settings.
- Select Integrations.
- Find the Facebook–Instagram card.
- Select Connect.
- Sign in to the correct Facebook account.
- Approve all requested permissions.
- Select the appropriate Facebook Page and connected Instagram account.
- Enable Facebook and Instagram messaging.
Inside Instagram
- Open Settings and activity.
- Go to Messages and story replies.
- Open the message access settings.
- Enable Allow access to connected tools.
Note: Comment automation documentation currently requires the Instagram account to be connected to a Facebook Business Page, even though Social Planner separately offers a direct Instagram connection for scheduling content.
4. ListedOS as a Stan Store Alternative
Create the main Instagram landing page
This becomes the agent’s simple link in bio page.
- Go to Sites → Funnels.
- Select New Funnel.
- Choose From Blank.
- Create one clean, mobile-first page.
- Add buttons such as:
- Search homes with me
- This week’s featured list
- Victorian homes
- Waterfront properties
- Coming soon
- Book a real estate conversation
Each button can lead to either:
- A Listed referral or list link
- A ListedOS lead capture page
- A booking calendar
- Another specialized funnel page
Funnels can be created from a blank page an existing template.
Create the private list landing page
Recommended headline:
Get This Week’s Private [Niche] Property List
Recommended fields:
- First name
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Preferred contact method
- Requested list
Create
Requested List as a contact custom field so the agent always knows which Instagram offer produced the inquiry. To create it:
- Go to Settings → Custom Fields.
- Choose Contact.
- Select Create Field.
- Name it
Requested List.
- Create another field called
Instagram Campaignif desired.
Custom fields can be created in your ListedOS and used in forms, workflows, contact records and personalized messages.
Add the form
- Inside the funnel page, add a form.
- Choose an existing form through the Form Picker or create a new one.
- Add the standard and custom fields.
- Under the form’s advanced settings, configure the confirmation behaviour or redirect.
- Redirect the follower to a thank-you page rather than directly to the list when a manual Listed invitation is required.
Forms created inside the site builder can be reused across other funnels, mapped to custom fields and configured with redirect or confirmation behaviour.
5. Exact comment to DM workflow
ListedOS already has a workflow recipe called Instagram Comment Automation. Its native recipe follows the same basic pattern as ManyChat: comment trigger, public reply, interactive DM and resource delivery.
Create the workflow
- Go to Automation → Workflows.
- Select Create Workflow.
- Either:
- Choose the Instagram Comment Automation recipe, or
- Select Start from Scratch.
Add the trigger
Choose:
Instagram Comment(s) On A Post
Configure:
- Page Is: the agent’s Instagram account
- Post Type: Published Post or Custom Post
- Post Is: select the specific post or enter its URL
- Contains Phrase:
HOMES
- Track First Level Comments Only: On
“Contains Phrase” allows comments such as “Please send me the HOMES list,” while “Exact Match” would only accept a comment containing exactly “HOMES.”
Add a public comment reply
Add:
Communication → Reply In Comments
Use several replies so every response does not look identical:
- “Sent. Check your messages.”
- “It’s on the way. Look for my DM.”
- “Just sent it privately.”
- “You’ve got it. Check your inbox.”
You can randomly select from as many as ten prepared public replies and can optionally ‘like’ the original comment.
Send the opening Instagram DM
Add:
Communication → Instagram Interactive Messenger
Set:
- Reply Type: Reply to Comment via DM
- Message:
Hi {{contact.first_name}}, I’ve got the list for you. Tap below and I’ll send you the right access.
Add a quick reply:
Send me the list
This initial tap confirms that the follower wants to continue the conversation.
The Interactive Messenger action supports buttons, quick replies, branches and a timeout path. This also creates a CRM contact from the Instagram comment and stores the person’s available first and last name.
In the “Send me the list” branch
Add:
- Add Contact Tag
Instagram | List Requested
- Update Contact Field
- Requested List =
[Name of list]
- Add another Instagram Interactive Messenger action.
- Reply Type: Reply to DM
For an open list:
Here it is. I created this collection personally and will keep it updated as properties change.
Button:
Open the list
The button should contain a Trigger Link pointing to the agent’s Listed referral or curated list URL.
Trigger Links record the click in the contact activity timeline and can trigger additional workflows from Instagram DMs, SMS, email and WhatsApp. This powerful and limitless! (Text us to book a strategy meeting and learn more about this +1 647-560-1026)
For a gated list:
This is one of my private lists. Tap below and tell me where to send your Listed invitation.
Button:
Get private access
That button leads to the ListedOS form created above.
Default timeout branch
When they do not tap the quick reply:
- Add tag:
Instagram | No Response
- End the workflow
Do not continue sending Instagram messages indefinitely. Instagram automated messages remain subject to Meta’s 24-hour messaging window after the user’s latest interaction.
6. Exact form submission workflow
Create a second workflow called:
Listed | Private List Request
Trigger
Choose:
Form Submitted
Filter:
- Form Is: Private Listed List Request
Actions
In this order:
- Add Contact Tag
Listed | Invite Needed
- Assign to User
- Assign the contact to the relevant agent.
- Add Task
- Task name:
Invite {{contact.first_name}} to Listed - Due: immediately or within the same business day.
- Send Internal Notification
- Notify the agent by in-app notification, email or SMS.
- Include:
- Name
- Phone
- Requested List
- Instagram campaign
- Send confirmation SMS
Hi {{contact.first_name}}, it’s [Agent Name]. I received your request for my [List Name] collection. I’m preparing your personal Listed access now. Watch for your invitation shortly.
- Send confirmation email
Subject:
Your private property list is being prepared
Message:
Hi {{contact.first_name}},I received your request for my [List Name] collection. I’m preparing your personal Listed invitation so you can view the properties through me, save your favourites and keep the list available as it changes.I’ll send your access shortly.[Agent Name]
ListedOS workflows can assign contacts, add tags, create tasks, update fields, send email and SMS, and generate internal notifications.
7. The manual Listed invitation step
This is the current handoff:
- The agent receives the ListedOS notification.
- The agent opens Listed.
- The agent adds the person using their phone number.
- The agent issues the Listed invitation by tapping ‘invite’ and choosing messages , whatsApp or Telegram
- The agent returns to ListedOS.
- The agent applies the tag:
Listed | Invited
That tag starts the delivery workflow.
(Please note this can also be achieved by ticking a box or completing a task)
In ListedOS we can automate everything surrounding this step but recommend you take a moment to manually invite the prospective new client personally to your Listed app via Me → Clients → Add Clients → tap ‘Invite’
8. Exact delivery workflow
Create a third workflow called:
Listed | Invitation Completed
Trigger
Choose:
Contact Tag
Set:
- Event: Tag Added
- Tag:
Listed | Invited
We can trigger workflows automatically when a specified tag is added or removed. It can be safer to set this up as a custom field tick box if you are not comfortable using tags. Naming the tag is important so you don’t mistakenly send an automation by using a tag that’s already connected to a live workflow.
Actions
- Send SMS
You’re invited, {{contact.first_name}}. Here is my private [List Name] collection in Listed: [Trigger Link]Take your time looking through it. You can save anything you like and message me whenever you have a question.
- Send email
Subject:
Your [List Name] collection is ready
Include:
- Brief explanation of what is in the list
- The Listed link
- Instructions to save, share or comment
- A low-pressure invitation to reply with questions
- Add tag
Listed | List Delivered
- Track the link
- Use a Trigger Link for the Listed URL.
- Optional gentle reminder
- Wait one day.
- Check whether the trigger link was clicked.
- If it was not clicked, send one short SMS:
Just checking that your Listed invitation arrived properly. Let me know if you have any trouble opening it.
9. WhatsApp and Telegram
It is possible to send WhatsApp messages from workflows. Free-form messages are permitted inside the active 24-hour WhatsApp customer service window; business-initiated messages outside that window require an approved WhatsApp template.
We recommend sending the invite to Listed manually from your app. You can receive an sms or push notification reminder to do this if it’s set up in your workflow.
The Private List Workflow
- Tease the list on Instagram
“I’m releasing my top 10 [niche] properties this week. Comment HOMES and I’ll send you private access.”
- ListedOS sends the Instagram message
The follower receives an automated DM inviting them to request the list.
- Capture their contact information
For high value lists, send them to a simple ListedOS page that asks for their name, email address and phone number.
- Invite them to Listed
The agent receives a task to add the person to Listed and issue their personal invitation.
- Deliver the curated list
Once invited, ListedOS sends the list through text message and email and records whether the link was opened.
The Role of Instagram | ListedOS | Listed
Instagram supplies the audience. ListedOS turns the interaction into an owned relationship. Listed gives that relationship a private, useful place to continue to grow and flourish.
The advantage of ListedOS is that the Instagram interaction, contact information, requested property niche, messages, follow-up and ongoing relationship all remain connected to one contact record, over time, in your own crm.
