How can we help?

How to create a specific Saved Search for my clients?

Create a search in your client’s desired area to know when listings, including Broker List® listings that clients can’t see match the search. It’s a great opportunity to let your clients know about Coming Soon listings before they enter their public marketing period for example.

The process takes around 60 seconds.

Create a Saved Search

On the Browse tab, the “Filter” button was tapped, then the filter screen was swiped up to be displayed in full screen.

To create a specific search for your clients on the map, start by adding filters. Tap “Filter” in the top left above the map and swipe up on the filter screen with your finger to display it in full screen. If you notice that the Saved Search of one of your client is very specific, we encourage you to save its search on your account with Broker List® turned on to see Exclusive listings you have access to and communicate them to your clients. Your clients can’t see Broker List® listings, unless it’s a Coming Soon listing within its public marketing period.

The filter screen was swiped upward to reveal the ownership and attachment type. Then it was swiped further down to add a maximum price, minimum number of bedrooms and minimum number of bathrooms. Finally, “Done” was tapped to apply filters.

Add filters to get better search results The more filters you add, the more specifics the results would be. In this example, our client is interested into a semi-detached or detached freehold for sale with two bedrooms and two bathrooms minimum, and at maximum price of $3,500,000. You can scroll down to see more filters and apply the ones of your choice. Once you’re done, tap “Done” in the top right to apply your filters. However, please keep in mind that if a listing agent did not provide all information on its listing, an unknown number of parking spaces for example could not be reasonably compared to a minimum or maximum value.

The “Draw” button was tapped to create a custom shape, the map was zoomed in and a shape was hand-drawn with a finger tip held and moved down on the screen before being released to close the shape.

Draw a shape to get results for a specific area With your filters applied, tap “Draw” on the top right corner of the map and use your fingers to zoom in if needed to be more precise. While putting your finger down on the screen, hold it and move it to create the outline of a shape. When you release your finger of the screen, the shape will automatically be closed and is ready to be saved.

Save the search Tap the “Save” button on the top right corner of the map, give a name to your search, for example it could be your client’s name so you know who this search was created for. Congratulations! You successfully created a Saved Search and will receive alerts when new listings match its filters and geographical area. (Optional) you can tap the “List” segmented control to quickly see the listings matching your search in a list. Keep in mind that Exclusive and Coming Soon listings are shown to agents with access and agents who received them in direct 1-to-1 communication. Clients only see MLS® listings and Coming Soon listings within their public marketing period.

TIP

Suggestion 🥇 : If you see a specific search from your client, duplicate it and save it for yourself with broker list, sold, available, for sale to see Broker List® and let your clients know about them.
💡
Add AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE to your Listing. If you don’t specify the number of parking spaces on a listing, clients and agents who filter them will not see your listing.
💡
Add AS LITTLE DETAIL AS POSSIBLE as you can get away with when creating a Saved Search. If you put Detached, 4 bdrm, 2 parking, and the listing agent didn’t fill that in, it won’t get matched and likely won’t be shared with you. Keeping your search more general will let you know about the possibilities and sift through them yourself.
